Here at Littlefinders we aim to bring you all the best actives, paid and free for Melbourne Kids.
Todays adventure was no exception to this – our Littlefinders had a brilliant and inexpensive day today at Casey Safety Village, Cranbourne – learning and fun combined into a full days entertainment for only $6 per child.
Open to the public only on school holidays (weekdays the school is only for kinder and school groups) you will need to book this great activity in advance as it always sells out and we can see why!
This school is perfect for kids of all ages to practice their riding and/or scootering and learning all traffic rules for kids.
No worries about passing time, this is easily a full days adventure.
The kids are left to explore and navigate all the road rules, traffic lights, railway crossing, pedestrian crossings, speed bumps and bridges. They can even dress up as a pedestrian crossing supervisor and run an intersection which is a giggle.
The petrol pump station is in high demand as is the bike wash station to get everything wet!
In between all the fun of riding around, they run learning sessions on road & pedestrian safety, metro trains and train safety, CFA Fire Safety in the home and & water safety is covered too with Casey RACE staff. These sessions were brilliant – short and sharp and full of simple but important information.
The Victoria Police also arrived with lights and sirens, and big thumbs up to the officer who stayed until every last child had a chance to look and sit in his vehicle – a lovely (and patient) policeman for sure.
No bike – no worries – you can hire a bike and helmet when you arrive. If you bring your own wheels don’t forget to get them checked over by the staff who offer a free safety check.
We suggest you bring your lunch and picnic rug, grab a spot under the shade of a tree and enjoy a fun day out with the kids!
